A test ride of the Norton Commando 961 SE bike has left a reviewer impressed with the model's performance.
Writing for MCN, executive editor Phil West took the bike for a short ride around the test circuit near to the factory in Donington.
According to the reviewer, the bike is well positioned for riders over 5ft 10in tall and has "beautifully sorted" ergonomics.
Handling was impressive and the rider commented the machine feels tight and slim on the move.
Meanwhile, the engine is described as acceptable and brisk but not too fast-paced.
"This is one seriously desirable bike. Even now, I'm still looking at it lusting - there are so many neat touches," Mr West commented, adding the machine is like "a grown up more credible Ducati Sport Classic".
If the review is anything to go by, Norton's next models in the range could be just as appealing to bike insurance policyholders, if not more so.
Earlier this month Norton announced it will launch the Commando 961 Cafe Racer £13,495 and the Commando 961 Sport at £11,995 to follow the success of the Commando 961 SE.
