Motorcycle manufacturer Suzuki could get bike insurance policyholders' pulses racing with the announcement it plans to launch a limited edition GSX-R750 to celebrate the bike's 25th anniversary.
The announcement was made at the firm's stand at the International Motorcycle and Scooter Show by sales and marketing director David Taylor.
With the machine's birthday next year on the horizon, Mr Taylor said Suzuki would produce 25 units of the new model, which will be available to order exclusively online.
A unique colour scheme will replicate the 1996 GSX-R750, which will also feature a commemorative individually numbered top yoke plaque and certificate as well as a Yoshimura exhaust.
Bike insurance policyholders can express their interest in the model via the firm's website.
Mr Taylor said the model is the company's most exclusive ever and is expected to be snapped up quickly.
"With its retro paint scheme, Yoshimura silencer and commemorative plaque and certificate, this is set to become one of the most sought-after GSX-Rs ever produced," he added.
Last month, the company said it is revitalising its range of cruiser models for 2010, re-introducing the C800 and adding the Intruder M1500 and M800 to the line-up.
