Bike manufacturer Yamaha has announced its YEC-8 Battery Charger is now available at dealerships across the country.
The firm suggests the gadget has come just in time for winter, when many bikers may be storing their machines and having concerns about starting them once the cold months have passed.
"Yamaha owners want peace of mind to know that whether they tuck their pride and joy away until the new year or they use it right through to spring, as soon as they turn the key their engine will start," the company commented.
The battery has been developed with auto electronics firm CTEK and has been approved for use with all Yamaha motorbikes, mopeds and scooters.
Bike insurance policyholders choosing to invest in the tool will find it is both dust and water resistant and offers specially adapted charging algorithms for seasonally used vehicles.
Complete with surge protection and a fully automated switching mode, the gadget - priced at £41.99 - also has five years' warranty from the manufacturer.
Yamaha is currently running its Winter Health Check Plus campaign to help riders protect their machines during the colder months and also potentially avoid a bike insurance claim.
