Two teenage motorcyclists might want to make sure they invest in bike insurance before they take part in next year's British 125cc Championship.

Wayne Ryan and Fraser Rogers, both aged 13, have received the backing of not-for-profit private organisation the Racing Steps Foundation, which will sponsor the youngsters during the championship.

Track tests and appraisals of seven of the UK's top junior 125 racers took place at Rockingham earlier this year, with the young pair being chosen to go on and take part in the championship.

One of the judges assessing the young riders was 2009 125cc World Championship runner-up Bradley Smith.

The racer commented that the panel had difficulty in selecting just two riders but added that the boys had shown great potential.

He went on to say: "The foundation has a thoroughly professional 'in it to win it' philosophy and Wayne and Fraser displayed the skill and determination that indicates they will be a good fit for what it expects to achieve."

Established in 2007, the Racing Steps Foundation was set up to provide help for a small number of riders who show impressive talent but are under-funded achieve their potential.
