Increased demand for Samurai Chopper bikes may have been sparked through ownership of one of the models by Hollywood star Brad Pitt.
A custom motorcycle dealership in Suffolk is to set up a Europe-wide distribution of the special machines and is moving its operations to a larger base, the East Anglian Daily Times reports.
Krazy Horse Custom has been chosen by Japanese manufacturer Zero Engineering to spearhead the project and will move to a new showroom on the edge of the city to accommodate its new duties.
The machines may have grown in popularity among bike insurance policyholders since it emerged that actor Pitt is a fan and since the bikes appeared on the silver screen in the 2008 film Iron Man. They are set to be used again in the sequel Iron Man 2.
Founder of Krazy Horse, Paul Beamish, commented that the bike is appealing because it "keeps things simple", adding that the machines "are not only the choice of famous actors, musicians and TV celebs; but now anyone in Europe who dares to be different".
Zero Engineering, which produces the Samurai Chopper, provides a number of accessories and merchandise for bike insurance policyholders with a penchant for its models, including a book entitled Zero Chopper Spirit.
