Bike insurance policyholders may be dismayed to read that a motorcycle event in Manchester has been cancelled because of the wintry weather.
Due to take place between January 9th and 10th at Manchester Central, the National Motorcycle Show has had to be called off because the weather has been deemed too hazardous.
Organisers said they made the decision with regret and disappointment.
Howard Cartledge, the show's director, commented: "With a show like the National Motorcycle Show safety has always been of utmost importance to us, and we just won't take the risk for exhibitors or visitors."
The event was set to showcase stunt displays featuring the Indoor Freestyle Arena and bring together numerous trade and dealer stands, as well as displaying classic bikes and scooters. Visitors were also to be given the chance to meet Isle of Man TT winner Michael Dunlop.
Mr Cartledge added that many of the event's 45 exhibitors and numerous stunt teams are snowed-in across the country and cannot travel to Manchester in the current conditions.
However, bike insurance policyholders need not despair; organisers have said the show will go on but at a later date, hinting that April has potential.
