Ducati's new Multistrada machine has gone on display at showrooms across the country, it has emerged.

Bike insurance policyholders might want to take a trip to their nearest Ducati dealership to see the model up close as the only display model of the 1200 bike travels across the country on tour.

The machine is being loaned to Ducati UK for the tour, which will see the model shown across the UK between January and March in a bid to reach as many bikers as possible.

Currently in the north of England, the bike will then travel to Scotland and wind its way back down south, with the tour culminating in the attendance at Red Dog on March 11th.

The model will also stop for the London Motorcycle Show from February 4th to the 7th.

Ducati commented: "The much hailed Multistrada is already being talked about as a bike of the year and is expected to draw huge interest across the country from Britain's motorcyclists."

Earlier this month, Ducati announced prices for its 2010 models, with the entry level Multistrada 1200 to set riders bike insurance policyholders back £10,995 for the entry level version.
