Honda is urging bikers to get involved in the launch of its forthcoming model range by attending their local dealership and entering a competition.

Set to launch on Valentine's weekend, the Start Something Special launch will mark the release of the range into the UK market and bike insurance policyholders are being given the chance to win a romantic break to Paris to mark the occasion.

Those attending dealerships on Saturday February 13th can fill out a postcard, put it in the box provided and wait to see if they will be whisking a loved one away for a break in the city of love.

At the same time, bike insurance policyholders can take a close look at the new models being launched by the firm, which will include the VFR1200F sports tourer, the 'bobber' styled Shadow Black Spirit and VT1300CX Fury.

Steve Martindale, general manager of Honda (UK) motorcycles, commented that the manufacturer has been encouraged by the number of orders already placed for the models before consumers have even seen them in the flesh.

"It's clear that motorcyclists are very excited about our 2010 model range and it's great that our customers and the wider motorcycling community across the UK can be a part of this launch," he added.

Honda recently scooped accolades at the Motor Cycle News Awards, with its CBF125 winning the Best Machine For New Riders title and the CBR600RR taking the Best Sportsbike Under 600cc category.
