Supercross racer Steven Clarke is likely to have got bike insurance policyholders' pulses racing at the third round of the British Supercross Championship where he scooped a brace of top spots.
The British-born American rode a RM-Z250 for the MVR-D Suzuki team at the Echo Arena in Liverpool last weekend and came top in the British Open event.
Clarke then went on to achieve second place in the Pro SX2 class and third place in Pro SX1.
Commenting on the events, the rider thanked the Suzuki team for the opportunity to race atop the new fuel-injected machine.
"This is my first race back since my injury at the end of last year, so to take the win in the British open and podiums in the international races is really positive," he added.
Clarke has since flown back to the US to prepare for the AMA Championship but is set to return to the UK to participate at London's O2 Arena in London for the fourth and final round of the year.
The RM-Z250, which is the first Suzuki MX2 contender to feature a fuel injection system, was launched last November in Northern Ireland.
