Bike insurance policyholders who enjoy the retro feel of riding a Vespa can now complete their look with some new merchandise.

The scooter manufacturer is celebrating the cool creations of the 1970s with the launch of two new shoulder bags that feature period colour schemes and contrasting shoulder straps, piping and zips.

One of the bags bears the Vespa logo while the other shows the firm's service roundel.

"Vespa shoulder bags aren't just about looking good though; manufactured from eco-leather – a man-made material that shares the same appearance and characteristics as leather, but is more durable and ecologically sourced – you'll feel good about using them too," the company claims.

The bags, which have adjustable shoulder straps, feature a large main section and a separate front pocket, both of which are accessed via zips.

Vespa describes the accessories as being perfect for scooter fans as well as those with a penchant for all things 1970s.

Priced at £24.99, the bags are available from Piaggio dealers nationwide.

Yamaha also recently launched some new merchandise in the form of beanie hats to keep bike insurance policyholders warm during the winter months. The company had created four differently-coloured hats.
