Endurance rider Graham Hoskins and Red Dwarf's Cat, actor Danny John-Jules, are set to take part in a motorcycle challenge for charity.

The pair have announced they will ride Honda Transalps as part of the Iron Butts challenge, which will see them travel 7,000 miles across 14 countries in 15 days to raise money for Sport Relief.

Hoskins commented that he could only imagine himself carrying out the challenge on a Honda, having owned a Fireblade for ten years.

"We looked at a few different bikes in their range as possibilities, but the Transalp is definitely the right machine for our challenge with its great adventure riding capabilities, comfy riding position, renowned reliability, good tank range and great luggage capacity," he said.

Meanwhile, 49-yearold John-Jules, who will film the next series of Red Dwarf later this year, said that he knows the trip will be "no holiday", but is looking forward to raising money for charity and promoting "the fun and freedom of safe adventure motorcycling".

The pair will set off on Saturday February 27th on their liquid-cooled, eight-valve, four-stroke 52 degrees V-twin engine models, which have been in production since 1987.
