Motorcycle manufacturer Ducati has said it has been overwhelmed by the public response to its Multistrada 1200 tour of dealerships across the UK.
The model has been showcased at a number of venues across the country, resulting in smitten bike insurance policyholders putting deposits down for the model in Manchester, London, Glasgow and Coventry.
After being warmly welcomed in the north, with more than 30 down payments made on the model in Manchester, the bike will begin winding its way back down south, taking in dealerships in Plymouth, Wimborne, Bridgwater, Cardiff, Bristol and Herford in March.
According to Ducati, its first demonstrator vehicles are set to arrive in dealerships at the beginning of April with deliveries of the model being shipped soon after.
"The first shipments are already sold out so dealers are recommending that buyers put down deposits as soon as possible or book test rides as soon as demonstrators arrive," the firm commented.
It added that it will review sales plans as a result of high customer interest and hopes to be able to meet demand during summer.
The Multistrada began its tour in London, where it was unveiled at the capital's bike show in early February.
