Welsh MP gets in the saddle
Lib Dem MP Lembit Opik will be turning biker for the day this Sunday, when he hops on his motorbike in aid of Bronglais Hospital's children's ward.
The familiar face from political programmes such as BBC's Question Time will join around 200 other bikers on the annual Aberystwyth Easter Egg run to raise funds for the hospital.
Organised by Newtown and District Dial-a-Ride, the leather-clad bikers will brave the unpredictable Welsh weather and set out from the Buck Inn in Newtown at around 11am. Whether they all make it to the finishing line at the Bronglais grounds remains to be seen.

The cost of entering is £5 per motorbike plus a cuddly toy for one of the children being treated at the hospital.
The Shropshire Star has reported the Montgomery MP will be joined by fellow Lib Dem MP Mark Williams, but it is not yet clear whether presenter and fiancee, Sian Lloyd, will also be present.
As a keen mortorcyclist, Mr Opik is likely to know something about obtaining cheap motor bike insurance. Taking an approved training course is to be recommended, offering the double incentive of helping you drive safer and perhaps attracting cheaper motor bike insurance with a discount.
