Bike insurance policyholders could be gearing up for an important event in the motorcycling calendar - Race Retro.
The event, which runs between March 12th and 14th, will take place at Coventry's Stoneleigh Park and includes the display of a new contender for the motorcycle Land Speed Record.
A six and a half-metre long streamliner powered by a 2.3-litre supercharged 700-horsepower engine will be showcased during the event by the Angelic Bulldog team, which hopes to achieve the record for the UK this year.
Meanwhile, the International Historic Racing Organisation will be displaying four machines that could appeal to bike insurance policyholders who like powerful vintage models.
Among the bikes will be a Yamaha 350 and a Konig 500, which uses a two-stroke motorboat engine.
Those looking to invest in their own antique model may find the vehicle for them in H&H Auctions' private collection of 50 motorcycles, which includes an early Harley-Davidson and a number of rarer Nortons.
This year's event is set to feature a tribute to Norton in the form of a range of the marque's classic models to celebrate the company's 60th anniversary.
Two of the machines on display will be a 1956 Norton Model F 350 and a 1960 350cc Lowboy, which are being loaned to the show by the Sammy Miller Museum.
