Fans of the Suzuki MVR-D team may have been disappointed to see rider Matiss Karro just miss out on a podium finish at the Hawkstone International event.
Bike insurance policyholders may have been in attendance at the Shropshire track recently where the rider gave as good as he got, pushing past rivals to third place at one point in qualifying.
However, a poor start to the second race saw the Latvian drop back before a crash forced him into 16th position.
In the Super Final race, Karro achieved 14th place and commented that he was pleased with his performance on the day overall.
"I felt very comfortable on the bike and despite the setbacks, we were fast and could move through the pack," he said.
Meanwhile, in MX1, Carl Nunn achieved a pair of top ten finishes, beating teammate Karro by one place in the Super Final race.
Team manager Mark Chamberlain said that Karro had ridden his RM-Z250 "extremely well" while Nunn had achieved a steady ride.
Nunn commented that he is now preparing for the forthcoming Red Bull Pro Nationals at Foxhill.
The pair had a difficult start to the Maxxis British Motocross Championship earlier this month at the Little Silver Track in Devon, where they struggled with the new three-race format.
