Keen bikers might want to add a date to their diary - May 3rd, when the Scottish Six Days Trial (SSDT) begins.
The event runs until May 8th and takes place at Fort William, where bike insurance policyholders can watch around 275 riders participate in the oldest motorbike trial event.
Those taking part will negotiate 30 sections of the course and ride up to 100 miles over the six consecutive days, with competitors entering from as far afield as Canada and Australia.
Bike insurance policyholders planning to visit the event may have their eyes on 12-time FIM Trial World Champion Dougie Lampkin, who is the current title holder.
He will pit his skills against other well-known names such as Alexz Wigg, James Dabill and Albert Cabestany.
And for those bike insurance policyholders who are fond of classic machines, a two-day event will take place before the six-day trial.
The Pre-'65 takes place on May 1st and 2nd and admits contenders who ride machines made before 1965.
Organisers commented that the classic bike trial "is hugely popular with spectators and competitors alike, and for many enthusiasts it is the highlight of their year".
Another draw for keen bikers could be the presence of ex-Dot Works rider Eric Adcock, who will be guest of honour at the event.
