Motorcyclists are being offered the chance to make their machines safer by taking part in a prize draw.
TyreSafe has announced 20 motorcycle tyre puncture kits will be given away in a draw as part of April being designated Bike Tyre Safety Month.
Everyone who subscribes to the organisation's free newsletter will be in with a chance of winning one of the kits, which could help riders avoid costly bike insurance claims.
Stuart Jackson, chairman of TyreSafe, suggested many bikers take their machines out for the first ride of the year in spring.
"Punctures can pose a significant safety hazard on these rides and leave riders stranded in remote locations to wait for a recovery service," he commented, adding: "These handy kits can provide a temporary fix to punctures, minimising disruption and inconvenience."
TyreSafe cites figures from the Vehicle and Operator Services Agency as showing tyre defects contribute to almost 75 bikes failing their MOTs every day.
During April, many motorcycle dealers and repairers, along with tyre retailers, are offering riders free tyre safety checks that could help identify faults endangering more than riders' bike insurance premiums.
