Suzuki has kicked-off celebrations for the GSX-R's 25th anniversary in style.

Bike insurance customers were among the motorcycle enthusiasts who took to the Brands Hatch track in Kent on Wednesday April 7th in the first of three special anniversary track days.

The opening event of the anniversary celebrations saw over 135 GSX-Rs take to the track as British Superbike team riders and owners of all-era GSX-Rs lined up alongside each other in Kent.

Celebrities were also in attendance to celebrate the bike with ex-England rugby union star Brian Moore and Keith Flint from the band the Prodigy also getting out on the track.

Additionally, fans were able to rub shoulders with Worx Suzuki Team pair Tommy Hill and Yukio Kagayama and Relentless Suzuki by TAS Team duo Michael Laverty and Alistair Seeley.

George Cheeseman, Suzuki GB marketing manager, noted that he was looking forward to the two other events at Snetterton and Cadwell Park, after the huge success of the inaugural celebration.

Mr Cheeseman said: "What a great day. With not a slot free on track, it really was a sea of GSX-Rs. With models from every era in attendance and some really special one-off machines too, it was a privilege to be present."

Brands Hatch has witnessed some memorable events in the past including Nigel Mansell's first ever Grand Prix win.
