Motorcycle manufacturer Ducati has unveiled its latest new bike - an addition to the Monster family of machines.
The new 796 Monster offers a blend of the features on the 696 and those offered by the more sporty 1100.
Features of the new machine include a micro-bikini fairing and a single seat cover coming as standard, optional ABS and a new rear sub frame.
The seat has been designed to provide a more comfortable shape, the manufacturer states, noting that the addition of red stitching adds an extra level of style to the machine.
Tim Maccabee, managing director of Ducati UK, said: "The new 796 Monster is a welcome addition to the family and will be a great bike for people upgrading from a first bike or looking to switch from a Sports 600 whilst wanting to retain style with plenty of real-world performance."
A new riding position has also been designed for the bike, which Ducati believes offers improved posture and higher levels of comfort.
When compared to the Monster 1100, the new Monster 796 has a lower seat height and a higher handlebar level, offering a more upright riding position.
Earlier this month Ducati confirmed the delivery of Multistrada test bikes to dealers across the country.
