Bike insurance policyholders can now benefit from the same level of advanced navigation that their car driving counterparts receive with the launch of a new satnav from TomTom.
The firm has announced its latest product, the Urban Rider, is designed for use with powered two-wheelers and boasts features such as a glove-friendly screen and advanced lane guidance.
Damian Woodward, vice-president of sales and marketing at TomTom, said the product aims to make navigation more accessible to all riders.
"Whether you use your bike for the daily commute or for long rides on the open road at the weekend, it's everything you'll need in a great value package," he commented.
The device also has a feature called IQ Routes, which uses actual speed data to work out the fastest route at different times of day. Another feature, Map Share, means riders can correct their own maps and view corrections made by others.
Priced at £249.99 with UK or Ireland maps, the device can also be bought with European maps for just under £300, which may interest bike insurance policyholders who enjoy taking their machine abroad.
Garmin also has a range of satnavs for motorcyclists, including the zumo 660, priced at £539.99.
