Britons considering investing in the latest model from Aprilia might want to see how the bike fares in its first road test first.
The updated 2010 Shiver machine is being put through its paces by Motor Cycle News in the south of France.
Reviewer Adam Child has been testing the model on the Route Napoleon and comments that the model has a sportier look than its predecessor, with a thinner, lower seat.
These alterations make the model more accessible and user-friendly for shorter riders.
Meanwhile, the machine's brakes have also been enhanced and the suspension has been made slightly stiffer, the motorcycle aficionado adds.
"The 750cc V-twin motor is unchanged but it's still more than enough to have fun with and the taut chassis is making easy work of the amazing switch back Route Napoleon," Mr Child commented, also noting the model has been made more eye-catching with its new colour scheme and front cowl.
Aprilia states that the model sets a new benchmark for the naked bike sector, commenting: "With this model year 2010, Aprilia Shiver reaches its definite maturity level, confirming all its dynamic qualities and excellent features."
