A biker safety drive in the Scottish region of Grampian has been hailed as a success.
The first five weeks of Operation Zenith have been received well and no deaths have been recorded during the period of time.
Local riders may be heeding the message to be safe on their machines and helping prevent more than bike insurance claims.
Grampian Police chief inspector Ian Wallace, head of road policing, commented: "I'm grateful for the very positive response we've had from motorcyclists."
But he went on to urge riders to continue thinking about their wellbeing, as May has been shown to be the second worst month in the year for motorcycle crashes.
September has shown to be the worst overall.
"Unfortunately, there are always those who ignore the warnings and continue to ride in a manner which puts themselves and others at risk," he concluded.
The operation is set to continue over the coming months and will see further engineering and skill enhancement measures be put in place.
Chief inspector Wallace advised riders planning to head out on their machines for the first time this year to make sure they have all their documents and consider improving their skills and safety by opting for some refresher training.
