Britain's best biker is being sought by the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM).
Bike insurance policyholders who believe their skills are first class might want to enter into the IAM's New Advanced Rider of the Year 2010 competition to be in with a chance of winning a new Yamaha machine.
The contest is being organised as part of the organisation's Skill for Life programme, which aims to increase awareness of motorcyclist road safety.
One rider who can prove they have the best skills when competing against other bikers in a series of tests will get their hands on the new Yamaha worth up to £11,500.
"Behind the prize is a serious motive," commented Simon Best, IAM chief executive officer.
"We want to raise awareness of advanced riding and its role in improving road safety, and reach as many people as possible who could improve their riding skills and confidence."
Riders can enter the competition by taking a Skill for Life rider programme before August 31st and passing their IAM advanced test, which qualifies them automatically for a chance in the contest.
Skill for Life is a specific membership option with the IAM and costs £139.
