Four times World Champion motorcyclist Barry Briggs and his son Tony are gearing up for an epic ride to raise money for charity.
The New Zealander, aged 75, was a racing hotshot in his prime and retired in 1976.
Since then, however, Briggs has remained a committed rider and has passed on his love of motorcycling to his son.
Tony was a promising rider himself until the career he hoped to forged came to an abrupt end when he endured a serious track crash.
The pair might want to invest in thorough bike insurance before embarking on their mission, which will see them travel on their Yamaha WR250Rs from John o'Groats to Cardiff's Millennium Stadium in time for the British Grand Prix on July 10th.
Along the way, the duo will be joined by some famous names for parts of their journey.
The father and son team hope to raise £120,000 for Sport Relief through their charity ride, with the money being used to help 12 Speedway riders who became wheelchair-bound following track crashes.
In the same vein, British motorcyclist Spencer Conway is currently circumnavigating Africa to raise money for charity Save the Children, so far encountering bandits, robbers and rebels along the way.
