A pub is to open in Redditch commemorating the town's motorcycling history.
Local bike insurance policyholders might be pleased to read that pub operator JD Wetherspoon will open the drinking establishment at the end of the month after spending £850,000 on redevelopment.
The Redditch Advertiser reports that the pub will be called the Royal Enfield and is being established on the former site of the town's Chicago Rock Cafe.
As is indicated by its name, the pub commemorates the famous motorcycle manufacturers BSA and Royal Enfield, which were headquartered in Redditch between 1911 and 1926.
According to the publication, Royal Enfield continued to be associated with the town for another 60 years after this.
The pub will specialise in real ales and supply local and regional beers.
Manager James Doughty told the newspaper: "I am looking forward to welcoming customers into the pub and am confident that it will be a good addition to Redditch's social scene."
Royal Enfield has produced bikes continuously for 100 years and claims to be the longest-running motorcycle brand in the world.
The manufacturer will be hosting an open weekend in June at its Cotswolds headquarters and is inviting bikers to attend and see the firm's range of machines.
