Motorcycle manufacturer Yamaha became the most popular brand in a number of bike categories last month, figures have shown.
According to the latest findings from the Motor Cycle Industry Association (MCI), Yamaha came top in the naked model, scooter, supersport and enduro sectors during May.
The firm's YBR 125 was shown to be the most-registered naked bike during the month, while the XC 125 had the most registrations within the scooter market.
Bike insurance policyholders may have also found the YZF R125 the most appealing supersport model, as the model was the most popular in May, along with the XT 125 R in the enduro market.
Top performers elsewhere included BMW's R 1200 GS in the adventure sport sector, while Suzuki GSX 1250 FA came top in the sport/tourer category.
Yamaha was shown to have the most registrations overall during May, followed by Honda and Triumph.
Within the separate engine bands, bike insurance policyholders may have increasingly opted for Yamahas, with the firm's YZF R125 236 being the most registered within the 51-125cc category and its YZF R6 being the most popular 126-650cc model.
Yamaha has announced its newest models - the Super Tenere and FZ8 - will be available to test ride at this weekend's BikeSafe event in Sheffield.
