This year's Goodwood Festival of Speed is likely to be a treat for bike insurance policyholders looking for a thrilling weekend.

As well as a range of tuned cars displaying their speeding prowess, various motorcycles are to be involved in the show, including a number of stunt riders wowing crowds with their abilities on two wheels.

Freestyle motocross riders the Red Bull X-Fighters will be performing around the Goodwood Cricket Pitch on a purpose-built course during the weekend, while 12-time World Trials Champion and Goodwood favourite Dougie Lampkin will be riding his 290cc Beta EVO T2 trials bike at the show.

Another top name attending the event will be BMW Motorrad UK's Mattie Griffin, who is also a stunt rider and will be displaying some gasp-worthy tricks for onlookers on the hill-climb.

"With such great stars in action, the 2010 festival really does promise entertainment in the 'extreme'," organisers commented.

The event will take place from July 2nd to 4th and will bring together more than 80 drivers and riders with over 70 world championship titles between them.

Other motorcycling heroes expected to turn out for the weekend include Giacomo Agostini, Kevin Schwantz, Chaz Davies, Neil Hodgson and Trevor Nation.
