Racing ace Lee Edmondson achieved an impressive win at the second round of the GBXC Championship last weekend.

The Putoline Suzuki rider may have delighted on-looking bike insurance policyholders who came to show their support at the event near Kingsbridge in Devon.

Despite only returning to racing earlier this year following an injury, the rider rode his RM-Z250 from fifth position in the opening lap to take the lead and emerge victorious after battling it out with competitor Steve Holcombe.

"Naturally, I'm delighted to get another win under my belt after such a tough start to the year," said Edmondson.

He commented that his bike ran well during the event and was well-equipped to deal the sometimes fast and technical sections of the track.

"I'm looking forward to the rest of the season now with renewed enthusiasm," the rider added.

Meanwhile, teammate Tom Sagar missed the round because of tendonitis in his wrist but is set to take part in the Welsh Two Day Enduro and the British Championship at Knighton.

In related news, team MVR-D Suzuki rider Carl Nunn took three top-ten finishes last weekend at the fourth round of the Maxxis British Motocross Championship.
