The MVR-D Suzuki team might have got off to a disappointing start at last weekend's events in Teutschenthal and Northamptonshire, with a mixed bag of fortunes across MX2 and the Red Bull Pro Nationals.
At the new Silverstone MX track, Carl Nunn competed in round four of the Red Bull Pro Nationals, qualifying weakly but going on to scoop eighth, fourth, ninth and third places across the four races.
Meanwhile, in Germany, Matiss Karro may have disappointed bike insurance policyholders rooting for the rider when he crashed in qualifying and endured a further two crashes and a forced retirement from engine problems to finish in an eventual 29th place.
Karro said the crashes were unfortunate, adding that "to suffer retirement through no fault of my own is a real disappointment".
However, he went on to express confidence with regards to the forthcoming grand prix at home.
Nunn described his performance as being a struggle at first but improving as time went on, with the podium finish in his last race providing a real confidence boost.
He recently rode to three top-ten finishes in the fourth round of the Maxxis British Motocross Championship, which was held at Lyng in Norfolk.
