Bike insurance policyholders might want to make sure they have an important date pencilled into their calendar, as next month sees the Festival of Speed take place at Goodwood.
Organisers have revealed that the Icon Sheene 250bhp superbike will make its debut at the event, which runs over July 2nd, 3rd and 4th.
The model is the world's most powerful and expensive road-going bike and is set to be ridden by racing ace Barry Sheene's son Freddie.
Supporting this year's theme - Viva Veloce, The Passion for Speed will be various Italian models such as Eddie Lawson's Cagiva C591, the ex-Phil Read 1974 MV Agusta 500/4 and the ex-Loris Capirossi Ducati GP5 'Desmosedici'.
Also at the event will be the Red Bull X-Fighters freestyle motocross riders, along with various big names from the motorcycling world, like 12-time World Trials Champion Dougie Lampkin.
To celebrate the return of the rider to Goodwood, the event organisers filmed a video of the rider running amok at the estate earlier this year and released it for viral distribution.
Irish stunt rider and recent BMW Motorrad UK signing Mattie Griffin will be on hand to delight bike insurance policyholders present with his hillclimb tricks, while championship leader Leon Haslam will be present with Team Suzuki Alstare.
