The celebrity Suzuki GSX-R fan club has expanded to include Stereophonics guitarist Richard Jones.
This year, the firm is marking the bike's 25th anniversary, with the musician picking up his GSX-R1000 just in time to join in the celebrations before taking the model out on the Silverstone track.
Jones commented that he has been a Suzuki fan for years, having owned a number of models such as the Hayabusa, which he described as impressive but in a completely different way from the GSX-R.
Of the new model, he commented: "You just have to think where you want to go on the GSX-R and it does it for you, it's just effortless."
He added that the model has reignited his lust for the track and as such, the musician confirmed he will be in attendance at the Suzuki track days for the model's anniversary before the year is out.
Bike insurance policyholders attending the GSX-R anniversary track day at Norfolk's Snetterton Circuit on July 19th will find themselves brushing shoulders with big names such as Leon Haslam, Sylvain Guintoli, Tommy Hill, Yukio Kagayama, Michael Laverty and Alastair Seeley.
For those riders who cannot make the event, Suzuki is also holding a GSX-R Day at London's Ace Cafe on August 22nd.
