Helmet company Schuberth has launched a new model specifically designed for female motorcycle insurance policyholders.

The German manufacturer's C3 Lady premiered at the Milan EICMA Motorcycle Fair last November, after Schuberth felt it was time to cater for the growing number of women motorcycle insurance policyholders.

With its contoured interior made from memory foam padding to fit female's narrower facial structure, the C3 Lady is designed to provide high levels of comfort.

The front flip model comes in smaller shell sizes than standard motorcycle helmets in order to offer the wearer reduced balk and weight.

Female motorcycle insurance policyholders may also find helpful the anti-bacterial and anti-allergenic materials used in the helmet's interior for their make-up-friendly properties, Schuberth commented.

Speaking at the Milan EICMA Motorcycle Fair, managing director of Schuberth GmbH Marcel Lejeune explained that the manufacturer is renowned for producing safe and comfortable helmets.

"So it was a logical and consistent step for us to become the first helmet manufacturer in the world to finally do justice to the wishes of female motorcyclists", he commented.

Schuberth's female customers "no longer need to compromise" when it comes to achieving "fit and fashionable look", Mr Lejeune added.

The company has been developing head protection for over 70 years and produces helmets for the Formula 1, motorcycle, industrial and fire-fighting sectors.
