American bike manufacturer Harley-Davidson has debuted its 2011 line which boasts 32 new models, in what is sure to be exciting news for all motorcycle insurance fans of the brand.
The line includes long-haul touring machines, ideal for motorcycle insurance policyholders wanting to undertake a road trip; sport roadsters and urban brawlers. Each model is fitted with a syncopated V-Twin cadence, which gives the bike its characteristic Harley-Davidson roar.
The new XR1200X sportster has adjustable front and rear suspension, floating front brake rotors and is fitted with a high-compression 1,200cc Evolution V-Twin engine, while motorcycle insurance policyholders wanting a tourer may enjoy the Road Glide Ultra, which boasts a Twin Cam 103 engine, cruise control, anti-lock braking system (ABS), the Harley-Davidson Smart Security System and a King Tour-Pak luggage carrier.
Motorcycle insurance policyholders who admit to being Harley-Davidson anoraks may be pleased to note that the new PowerPak technology, which brings together Twin Cam 103 engine with ABS and the smart security system, will be a standard feature on the 2011 Road King Classic, Electra Glide, Ultra Limited and Road Glide Ultra models.
It will also be available as a factory-installed option on the new Street Glide and Road Glide Custom models.
Harley-Davidson recently announced its second quarter results, showing that its income from continuing operations was up 29 per cent in the first half of 2010 compared with the same period last year.
