High-powered bikes withdrawn from police
A fleet of high powered motorbikes have been withdrawn from the Northern Irish police force after a high-speed crash.
Reports in the Belfast Telegraph detail how an officer was hurt in a crash on the motorway, with the incident prompting a review of how the vehicles are used.
No other vehicles were involved in the smash, which left the officer with keg and body injuries.
The 1300cc Honda STX bikes boast speeds of more than 140mph, but are now being viewed with some concern.

At £15,000 each, the bikes are also an expensive solution to high-speed pursuits, not counting any bike insurance.
A spokeswoman for the PSNI told the Belfast Telegraph it was only a temporary suspension of the Honda STX fleet, but said an investigation was ongoing.
"It must be stressed that this is only a precautionary measure following a collision involving a police motorcyclist and no other vehicle on the M2 motorway in Belfast last Sunday night," she said.
"This is to allow police to fully investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision," she added.
The news follows an incident involving Merseyside police last year, when a constable died after colliding with a lorry on a training course.
