Motorcycle insurance policyholders who are travelling around the Lake District this autumn could take a trip to the new Lakeland Motor Museum at Blackbarrow, near Ulverston in Cumbria.
There they could find a display of classic motorbikes as well as icons of the four-wheel variety, such as a 1981 Delorean DMC-12 - the vehicle that appeared in Back to the Future.
Motorcycle insurance customers might also get a chance to see the 1993 Honda 125cc ridden by Joey 'King of the Roads' Dunlop at the TT. The legendary racer won the TT 26 times and is still the only rider ever to have won a hat-trick of hat-tricks at the Isle of Man course.
The museum features over 30,000 exhibits in total, including a rare 1953 Morris Minor Pickup and the Bluebird blue 1936 Bentley which belonged to land and water speed legend Donald Campbell.
A dedicated Campbell Bluebird exhibition can be found at the Lakeland Motor Museum designed to educate motorcycle insurance policyholders and other visitors about the racing achievements of Sir Malcolm and Donald Campbell. Together, the pair accomplished 21 world speed records for their efforts both on land and water.
Tickets to the museum cost £7 for adults and £4.50 for children aged between five and 15. Family admission can also be purchased.
