Rossi gets back on track
Following his decision to stay with Yamaha, Valentino Rossi has rewarded his employer with his second win of the MotoGP season on home soil, at Mugello in Italy.
Rossi got his first win in four after a spectacular race that was also lead at times by Ducati's Loris Capirossi and Sete Gibernau but in which the five-time Grand Prix winner eventually triumphed to rise up to fifth in the leaders' table.
Having failed to finish the previous two races, the 27-year-old gave Yamaha more cause for celebration, having earlier in the week displayed his intention to remain with the manufacturer by signing a one-year contract extension.

Rossi said after the race: "The battle with Loris [Capirossi] was unforgettable.
"It's a great emotion, difficult to explain. At one moment I started to think I had problems with the rear of the bike, but the other riders started to move around as well."
Capirossi was graceful in defeat, having battled back after a poor start to rise up from eighth to a pole finish and announced afterwards that he was "happy to be second after such a battle". He now leads this season's MotoGP overall.
American Honda rider Nicky Hayden took third place to share the overall lead with Capirossi, in spite of not having won a race all season and he perhaps summarised the epic encounter best when he said: "It was a dogfight and the guys were out for blood.
