McGuinness completes historic TT treble
Touring Trophy (TT) racer John McGuinness wrote his name into the record books again by completing a hat trick of victories on the Isle of Man.
McGuinness scored his third win of the week in the Blue Riband Senior race, completing the six-lap contest 20 seconds ahead of the second placed Australian, Cameron Donald.
It was the 11th TT win of his career - one that propelled him into joint-third in the all-time winners' list, along with Phillip McCallen and Steve Hislop.

The 33-year-old also stole the show by setting a record average lap speed, hitting a mean speed of 129.45mph over one circuit of the 37.73-mile long Mountain Course, while also completing the race in the record time of one hour, 47 minutes and 38.84 seconds.
An exalted McGuiness said afterwards: "It has been awesome, winning a treble.
"This bike has been specifically built for the TT and it has been working perfectly. It has never missed a beat and the conditions have been getting better and better all week."
McGuinness was also justifiably delighted with his record-setting performance, although he added that it was race wins that mattered to him rather than lap speeds.
The race moreover marked second-placed Donald's first podium finish. New Zealand's Bruce Anstey finished third and also broke the 129mph mark on his final lap.
