Bikers raise cash for premature babies
Two motorcyclists have successfully negotiated their way across Europe's finest cities, raising thousands of pounds for a charity for prematurely born babies in the process.
Setting off from London on May 27th, bikers Tom Johnson and Rob Dransfield had the target of riding their Buell Ulysses XB12X motorcycles through ten of Europe's capitals in the space of ten days, in an effort to earn money for the BLISS charity.
In spite of enduring gales and torrential rain on eight of their ten days on the road, the two riders managed to complete the 4,000-mile trip through Berlin, Warsaw, Budapest, Sofia, Skopje, Rome, Bern and finally Paris - raising an impressive £30,000.

Mr Johnson commented: "This was the hardest thing Rob and I have ever had to do in our lives.
"No amount of planning can prepare you for what it's like trying to cover those distances, over roads that would have challenged a 4x4 vehicle let alone motorcycles, in such a short space of time."
The Sheffield-born biker claimed that the gruelling task sometimes brought him close to tears, with the rain swept, mountainous roads of eastern Europe often requiring them to ride for 16 or 17 hours a day in order for them to complete their task.
He nonetheless added that it did feel fantastic to have completed such a feat and that his main priority now was simply to raise more money to help BLISS's cause.
