Gibernau sets German target
Spanish MotoGP racer Sete Gibernau has set the German GP in a fortnight's time as the date for his return from the injuries he sustained in Catalonia.
The Ducati rider's return to his hometown two weeks ago was not a happy one, as his bike flipped over as he took the first corner of the race, taking out several other racers and leaving him with a fractured collarbone that has kept him out ever since.
Currently 13th in the overall standings, Gibernau has now set the German edition at Sachsenring on July 16th for his comeback and having undergone an operation he is now apparently back in training for this event.

He commented: I'm still aching but my head no longer hurts and the collarbone operation was a success.
"Before fixing the collarbone with a plate, the surgeons had to remove an old plate, which affected my shoulder muscles. It still hurts but I am now training again. We are working in the swimming pool to get the shoulder muscles moving again and to make sure the wounds drain as quickly as possible."
His teammate Loris Capirossi was one of the other riders caught up in the mayhem at the first corner in Catalonia, but having battled though the pain last weekend in the Dutch GP, the Italian says he is "basically OK" to ride in the forthcoming race at Donington.
