Bikers raise cash for school
A group of around 100 Harley-Davidson riders have completed a sponsored ride in a bid to raise money for a new playground at a school for disabled children.
Members of the Surrey Chapter Harley-Davidson motorcycle club set themselves the task of crossing 25 of London's bridges in the space of four hours, with the intention of raising the £15,000 required by the Sherwood Park school in Sutton.
With the aim of travelling from St Katherine's Dock near Tower Bridge at 10:00 BST on Sunday to Hampton Court in the south west of the capital in temperatures of around 28șC, group member David Russell admitted it would be a tough ride.

He told BBC News before setting off: "Our engines are 1400șC to 1500șC, the same size as a car, so they produce a lot of heat.
"They do get very hot if you are running along in slow traffic in leathers, it's not the most comfortable of rides."
He said that the new all-weather playground was essential for the school as its pupils are frequently left with cuts and scratches whenever they fall over outside.
The Surrey Chapter was formed in 1991 and has in that time accrued a membership of over 500 riders.
It has something of a reputation for charity work, including a previous ride across India that raised more than £12,000 for the Children's Trust in Tadworth.
