Toseland warned not to waste his time
World Superbikes (WSB) frontrunner Troy Bayliss has urged British rider James Toseland to think carefully before swapping his chance for success in the competition for MotoGP.
Toseland, who is currently third in the WSB standings, has been strongly linked with an exchange of disciplines, with Foggy Petronas boss Karl Foggarty recently claiming that he would happily take the young racer with him if he himself made the switch.
However Bayliss, who has just returned from an unhappy spell in MotoGP himself, has warned the youngster not to leave WSB without ensuring that the right team and bike is there waiting for him first.

He explained to BBC News: "James is a good rider, and I know how much effort he's putting in.
"It's something he has to want to do and I'm sure he does. I had my experiences in MotoGP, which were up and down, so I wish him all the best for whatever he chooses but I hope he makes the right decision with regard to what machinery he gets."
Having won the WSB championship in 2001 and finished second the year after, Bayliss finished a respectful sixth in his maiden season in MotoGP but an accident-filled 2004 saw him sacked by Ducati, while his season with Honda in 2005 was an injury-hit one.
His first season back in WSB has seen him return to winning ways however, with the Australian currently leading the standings by 77 points and he has now signed a contract to ride with Ducati in the competition for the 2007 and 2008 seasons.
