MAG accuses TfL of rider rally blunder
The Motorcycle Action Group (MAG) claims that Transport for London (TfL) has made a huge gaffe by fining riders lawfully taking part in a rally earlier this month.
The KillSpills rally, which took place on September 9th, was organised with the aim of raising awareness of the threat diesel spillages pose to motorcyclists and 5,250 bikers participated in the organised ride from north-west to central London.
Yet, according to the MAG, rather than recognising the importance of this event, TfL instead imposed fines on bikers who strayed into bus lanes as they came through Park Lane, even though they were riding under police supervision at the time.

MAG says that KillSpills is the legitimate voice of bikers in their efforts to reduce accidents arising from diesel spillages and both organisations have vowed that they will not stand for TfL's show of tactlessness.
KillSpills campaign manager Stephen Edwards stated: "We will do everything in our power to help riders with this ridiculous fine."
MAG has advised anyone who was unjustly fined not to pay up but instead inform KillSpills, after which the Metropolitan Police will send them a letter cancelling the fine, which they can send on to London's transport authority.
TfL came in for criticism from MAG back in July for a video and campaign it produced on motorcycle safety, which the group felt simply tried to shock people into thinking motorbikes are dangerous.
