Police urge bike racers to behave themselves
Officers in north Somerset are calling on all bikers participating in this weekend's Enduro beach race to have a good time without misbehaving.
With over a thousand motorcyclists taking part in the two day race and thousands more expected to come to Weston-super-Mare as spectators, police warn that they will clamp down on anyone who spoils the weekend by behaving in an antisocial manner.
Local patrols will supervise the crowds, assisted by the mounted and dogs section of the district force, while staff from North Somerset Council will also be keeping their eye on the town via CCTV and will report any criminal incidents that take place.

Chief inspector Nick Walker commented: "During previous events there have been isolated incidents, mainly antisocial behaviour, which has been fuelled by alcohol but generally there is a good atmosphere in the town.
"We hope those attending this weekends event will enjoy themselves and make it an event to remember, helping to confirm Weston-super-Mare as a top coastal resort."
The Motorcycle Action Group will once again be providing a secure parking facility where anyone riding to the race can then safely leave their bike.
Last year, police checks at the event revealed that more than 70 of the bikes there were stolen and officers say that these monitoring exercises are indicative of the seriousness with which they treat the threat of vehicle theft.
