Harley wins big prize
Harley-Davidson's new VRSCDX Night Rod Special has been nominated as this year's best cruiser bike in a prestigious award ceremony.
Facing competition from models manufactured by Kawasaki, Yamaha and Suzuki, as well as from another Harley bike, the Fat Boy, the Night Rod was able nonetheless to overcome them all to win this award from Motor Cycle News.
It has therefore proved a more than adequate successor to the V-Rod, its precursor that previously came up trumps in this category thrice in succession and Harley-Davidson feels this victory again pays complement to the extent of this bike family's appeal.

UK marketing manager Allan Brownridge told Easier: "We're obviously extremely excited for the new Night Rod Special to have won this prestigious award.
"The V-Rod has gone on to win over 30 major awards world-wide and we hope that the latest addition to the family will receive the same recognition."
The Night Rod is aesthetically imposing with its all-black exterior and it is similarly awesome in action, with its 240mm rear tyre and its capacity to reach up to 108Nm of torque.
Yet this model is even more impressive for the practicality it also brings, thanks to an under-seat fuel tank with an increased volume of 18.9 litres, highly efficient Bembo brakes and its manufacturer's new Smart Security System with which it is fitted.
