Biker reverend wants less traditional funerals
A reverend who conveys deceased bikers to their final resting place by motorcycle has claimed that his funerals respect the wishes of the dead better than a traditional service.
Pentecostal vicar Paul Sinclair, whose tailored ceremonies involve him transporting the departed in a motorcycle sidecar, told Lifestyle Extra that standard funerals are often too overtly religious.
In Reverend Sinclair's opinion, this is a mistake because it means that the style of the send-off is dictated merely by a person's faith, rather than taking into account other aspects of their lifestyle as well.

He explained: "What I do is extremely traditional, providing an appropriate and dignified means of transportation that represents the life of the deceased.
"Take a man who rode motorbikes in the war, then came home and rode into retirement. If you put him in a car, his lifestyle has been completely ignored."
The reverend said he is also willing to let the deceased go out with a bang and go flat out on the way to the graveyard, providing that this was what they wished for.
His company motorcyclefunerals.com has participated in over 700 funerals in about five years and Reverend Sinclair is now looking to make some new additions to the firm's existing bike portfolio of a Triumph, a Harley Davidson and a Suzuki Hayabasa.
