Alcohol-powered bike to go on display
Booze and motorcycling generally do not make a good combination but there is one exception to the rule and it will be going on show in London next month.
The Rapom V8 runs entirely on pure alcohol and will be displayed to the public at the MCN London Motorcycle Show, which is taking place at the ExCeL centre at the beginning of February.
It is the most powerful bike in the country at present thanks to its 8,193cc former monster truck engine, Easier reports, but according to creator Nick Argyle he rather stumbled on the design after selling the chassis of the engine's original owner.

He explained: "I didn't have the same workshop space I had when I built the truck.
"I only had the house garage so it had to be a bike. I was going to buy a new engine for the project but my wife told me to use the one that was still in a garage - a monster truck engine! Despite its size, I thought, why not?"
Yet the bike's incredible 1,000bhp comes at a cost: the Rapom has a costly fuel economy of four miles per gallon, meaning that while it could fire the imaginations of the general public, it is unlikely to impress environmentalists.
This monster of a machine also weighs in at over 1,000lb and has had to be fitted with an exceptionally long chassis to stop it from sending its maker head over handlebars every time he cuts loose while riding it.
