Motorcycle Insurance Quote.

Thespian is a rider

He may have made his name wearing frilly, period dress, but one of Britain's finest actors says that he prefers to don his helmet and get on his bike.

Joseph Fiennes has been riding motorcycles since he was in his mid-teens and currently uses a £5,899 Triumph Scrambler to get around London, although he also owns an assortment of cars, including a Range Rover Sport.

Speaking in an interview with the Times, the actor admitted that he is never happier than when riding his bike on the open road and waxed lyrical about being given the opportunity to have a run-out on the Triumph Daytona 675 Triple.

Fiennes eulogised: "It was a whole other experience.

"If you like g-force and your cheeks flapping in the wind, that's your vehicle - beautiful, thrilling, it took me into another world."

It was a very different experience to riding his first bike, a Honda 125 that he got when he was a 16 and frequently came off of whenever its footrest hit the ground.

Although initially overshadowed by his older brother and fellow actor Ralph, Joseph Fiennes made his name in 1998's Shakespeare in Love and has also starred in Elizabeth, Enemy at the Gates and a film adaptation of The Merchant of Venice.
