Bike show switches dates
This year's International Motorcycle and Scooter Show is being delayed by a month in order to avoid it clashing with an equivalent Italian exhibition.
The event, which is staged annually at the NEC in Birmingham, was originally to be held between October 25th and November 4th, but as this would coincide with the Milan Motorcycle Show it will now run from November 22nd to December 2nd.
Managing director Finlay McAllan commented: "This is extremely exciting news for us.

"The new dates and location offer us a blank canvas to work from and in fact give us a chance to re-launch the show, which should enable us to produce an even more engaging and exhilarating event for visitors than we did in 2006, while at the same time ensuring the quality of exhibitors and features are maintained."
MCI Exhibitions also believes it is important for the event's status as one of Europe's premier biking extravaganzas that it does not clash with the Milanese exhibition, which would have prevented some Italian firms from being represented at the NEC show.
Last year's event was attended by nearly 145,000 enthusiasts, which was a slight drop from the 2005 show but still marked an excellent showing, with exhibitors such as Honda and Harley-Davidson paying testament to the terrific feedback they received.
