BMF looks to bring back children of the revolution
The British Motorcyclists Federation (BMF) is in a nostalgic mood ahead of this year's annual show, which is marking its 30th anniversary in Peterborough.
Held over two days in May at the East of England Showground, it is anticipated that the show will attract tens of thousands of biking enthusiasts and hundreds of exhibitors, cementing its status as the most popular outdoor motorcycling event in Europe.
This festival was first held in Peterborough back in 1977 and the BMF is compiling a special show guide to mark its three decades at the ground, collecting memories and photos from the first show that will capture the spirit of the glam rock decade.

Spokesman Jeff Stone commented: "This year is a special one for us.
"I was there for the 1977 event and although it's now bigger and busier than it was then, somehow it's managed to maintain that friendly, laid-back atmosphere that has made it such a favourite with so many. After all, it's still the largest event of its type in Europe and we intend to retain that title!"
The show will include a number of prestigious performances, with stunt rider Jason Smyth starring for the first time in a number of years, while bikers will be able to enter their motorcycles into a competition with the chance of winning cash prizes.
Last year's show was spoiled slightly by rain, with the total attendance of 73,000 slightly down on the 80,000-plus this event usually gets, although it was still memorable for the appearance of television's motorcycling and culinary enthusiasts, the Hairy Bikers.
