Bikers help beat cancer
Female motorcyclists will be riding the length of the country this summer, as they seek to make their own serious contribution to the battle against breast cancer.
The Amazon Heart Thunder Ride commences in late August, with bikers who have been affected by breast cancer heading from Aviemore in Scotland down to London in the space of seven days.
Last year, Amazon Heart earned over £7,000 in conjunction with the Ladies of Harley group on a ride from Oxford to Scotland, a feat that stunned Heather Chapple, the 38-year-old architect from Edinburgh who took part in the event.

She told insidebikes.com: "We were all amazed at the generosity of the many people who gave up their time and hard-earned cash to support this worthwhile cause.
"Words can't express what this support means to the riders who took part."
Ms Chapple first participated in the Amazon Heart ride back in 2005, the first year in which her own cancer had gone into regression, which was also the first time that the organisation's activities spread beyond the US.
In 2006, another group of 28 motorcyclists also took part in a ride from one end of the UK to the other in an effort to help the battle against cancer, by raising money for a hospital oncology ward in Huddersfield and for the advice charity Cancerbackup.
